In stock

The AQUARIO Neo Flow In-/Outflow Set convinces with its infinite variability and grade of individualisation. This set includes spare parts for an upgrade to version 2 in addition to the normal scope of delivery. It is made out of PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate modified with glycol), which - in the contratry to glass, regular plastic and stainless steel - is far more elastic. In addition, PETG material provides a particularly high transparency. Before water contact, it seems matte, but as soon as it touches water, it becomes highly transparent. Along with the In- and Outflow the Neo Flow Premium Set contains the unique Neo Skimmer, which makes it easy to remove unwanted scum from the water surface and enhance oxygen exchange while remaining very unobstrusive. Furthermore, the Set contains the special Neo Reliever which allows the reduction of the waterflow intensity as well as the vertical change of the waterflow direction.

Fish adapt to the ambient temperature. The life functions of cold-blooded animals sink with falling temperatures. The right aquarium temperature is therefore very important to ensure their problem-free food intake and a smooth functioning of their metabolism. Depending on the origin of the fish, the temperature they feel comfortable at varies. JBL’s safety heater thermostat ensures an ideal temperature transfer in the range between 20 - 34 °C. With the help of the dial a control accuracy of +/- 0.5 °C is ensured. The maximum attainable temperature depends on the water volume and the difference in temperature to the surroundings.

Takashi Amano, a famous aquascapist and designer of so-called “nature aquariums,” was the first to use these shrimps to deal with algae in his planted tanks. After revealing their remarkable ability to eat algae, he ordered several thousands of shrimps from the local seller. Since the 1980-s, aquarists started to call this shrimp “Amano shrimp.”
