Assassin Snail
An Assassin Snail has become a popular freshwater snail to keep. Assassin Snails have a reputation of being able to help keep populations of some other freshwater snails in check. While keeping a small group of Assassin Snails in a tank may reduce the numbers of Trumpet Snails somewhat, Assassin Snails should not be considered the only solution to snail population explosions. Keeping Trumpet Snail populations in check can also be achieved by removing excess uneaten food from substrate by regular vacuuming.

Diamond tetras are gorgeous freshwater fish that don’t get nearly enough attention. We’ve been fans of this species for years, and definitely recommend them to anyone. They’re beautiful, easy to care for, and a lot of fun to watch. This makes them a great beginner fish. However, this is a great choice if you have experience and just want a low-maintenance freshwater species as well.
Penguin Tetra
Penguin Tetra, is a popular member of the tetra freshwater fish species. Like its cousins, the Cardinal and Neon Tetra, the Penguin Tetra is kept for its attractive pattern, gentle nature, and wide availability. Schools of Penguin Tetra contrast to colorful fish in freshwater aquariums.
Tetras are one of the first species new aquarium keepers explore. They are available through most fish supply outlets and are not an expensive species to acquire or replace. Once keepers have learned Penguin Tetras, the move up to larger, more colorful, and complex species is very manageable solo or mixed species tanks.
Tri Colour Koi Angel Fish
The Tri Colour Koi Angel is a great centrepiece for a tropical aquarium. Freshwater Tri Colour Koi Angelfish can grow quite large, so larger aquarium is recommended to thrive. The brightness of an angelfish’s colouring depends on its mood and stress levels. When angelfish are stressed or asleep, they can appear pale, or duller in colour. Healthy, well-nourished angelfish living in ideal water conditions will display vibrant colours.
Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish
Albino Corydora
Albino Corydora, Corydoras Aeneus, is a peaceful and attractive little catfish. They are the albino form of the Bronze Cory, and specimens found in the aquarium hobby will be captive bred. Wild Corydoras Aeneus are found in many parts of the Amazon river, from Colombia all the way through to Trinidad! The body of the Albino Corydora is a pale pink colour, and like all albinos, their eyes are red.

Julii Corydoras
Julii Corydoras is a peaceful community fish that prefer to be kept in a group. They are freshwater fish that are native to the flooded forests of the lower Amazon region. More specifically, they have been found in Parnaba River of Brazil. They can also be found in smaller creeks and small tributaries in the region.

Norman’s Lampeye
The Norman’s Lampeye Killifish is a peaceful fish whose small size makes it absolutely perfect for the nano or planted aquarium. Its name refers to the horizontal crescent at the top of its eye that seems to “glow” under the aquarium light. Native to Central and Western Africa, this hardy fish is excellent for even beginners. It will often spawn in the aquarium.
The Norman’s Lampeye Killifish occupies the top level of the water column almost exclusively. It is not afraid to jump, so it must be kept in an aquarium with either a lid/hood/canopy or at least a significantly lowered water level. It will not eat or bother plants and it will appreciate the cover, especially with floating plants. This fish is clearly best suited for a heavily planted aquarium.

Siamese Algae Eater
Siamese Algae Eater is a fish of the Cyprinidae family. It is often called SAE, fish which is an abbreviation from its full name. It is used in aquarium husbandry as a natural way of fighting unwanted algae. It is considered the most efficient of all known algae eaters. The fish is peaceful, not very large, and it is a true tank cleaner. It eats algae in a tank, and this task is quite challenging since not every fish can do it.
