Aquael Quartz Sand 0.4-1.2mm 10KG
75,00 د.إ (Including Vat)
In stock
The quartz sand from Aquael is an extremely fine and very light, white substrate for aquariums. This creates beautiful contrasts with coloured shrimps. It is also ideal for creating paths and walkways in an aquascape, for example. The natural substrate material does not contain any artificial additives or coatings, which is why it is water-neutral and does not release any polluting substances. In addition, the quartz sand can also be used in soft water tanks, as it does not harden the water.
Dymax Base Soil 3L
67,00 د.إ (Including Vat)
In stock
Dymax Base Soil decreases the hardness of the water and lowers the pH level to the degree to which most aquatic plants can consume nutrients and comfortably grow. The soil granules maintain the shape and density of underwater security and good circulation of water oxygen through the substrate. With Dymax Base Soil, growing difficult plants become easier and it is ideal for fishes demanding soft water.

JBL Proscape Volcano Mineral 3L
61,50 د.إ (Including Vat)
In stock
JBL Proscape Volcano Mineral highly porous volcanic rock fulfils important functions in an aquascaping aquarium: Firstly it forms a stable foundation for further rock constructions and/or root wood, which would otherwise slip downwards through the soil. Secondly many beneficial bacteria settle inside the porous structure. The porousness of the rock structure also enables the nutrient to penetrate it and it thus supplies numerous minerals enabling the plants to take root and grow well inside it.

The substrate is an important part of the aquarium interior because a lot of animals dig in the ground to search for food. The plants also need a safe hold and have to absorb the food in the ground through their roots. Digging fish definitely need a substrate which is not sharp-edged. Undergravel heating can only be recommended for medium-fine to coarse substrates because water circulation cannot really build up in very fine substrates.
